In the year of 1968, changing the landscape of women jewellery craftsmanship in Sri Lanka; the world-renowned land of cinnamon reapers, Mallika Hemachandra Jewellers established in the hearts of Sri Lankans who traditionally and culturally possessed many values around gold jewellery. Since its inception, Mallika Hemachandra Jewellers has significantly changed fine craftsmanship and reinstated the tradition of innovative designs.
Carrying its values and virtues for more than five decades, MHJ Holdings established in Australia benchmarked its mother company back in Sri Lanka with its innovations and quality standards. Today, as a pioneer in the industry, we have set an example for the booming jewellers to follow up and reach the young and yesteryear generations with authentic and creative designs as we did for decades. We have excelled in the art of Gems while ensuring our prime prospect of the business; Manufacturing and retailing of Gold Jewellery.

Marking its 50th anniversary in 2018, Mallika Hemachandra jewellers humbly celebrated its stance on the lives of the Sri Lankan community to uplift the well-being by providing more than150 employees as well as taking the legacy of the Sri Lankan jewellery industry which is over2000 years to the world.

As the CEO of Mallika Hemachandra Jewellers, I am honoured to lead an organization that has been at the forefront of the jewellery industry in Sri Lanka for over 5 decades. We have experienced numerous challenges and uncertainties over the last five decades, but our persistent focus on quality has enabled us to overcome these hurdles and prosper in this competitive business. Especially the 1-2 years of Covid pandemic challenged us and our team to do something different and what was not there ever. But nothing had stopped us from holding the number 1 position in the country.
